Thank-zoo!

After living here for four years, I came to the realization that it was about time I went to the zoo. The weather was hot, the animals were sleepy, and I felt sad for them.... but I also got to see:

1) a monkey jack off in under 10 seconds (in completion)
2) about a zillion fish get fed at one time
3) two turtles getting it on with a priceless expression
4) a wolf
5) jellyfish

... obviously among so many other amazing things.

Plus, I got to pet a stingray and a shark. Common!

Trying to get my act together

Some cottage time never hurts. All you need is a clear sky, a flashlight, a motor, a lake, and long exposures. And patience.

It's easy living.

One of my favorite things about summer, is getting all hot and sweaty, and then jumping into a lake/ocean. I know sometimes it's a bit artificial, but I'll crank the heat in the car ride up just so I can mimic such scenarios.
